Carers Short Break

In 2024, the Carers Short Break project supported carers through outreach, engagement and practical opportunities for connection and support. It responded to the fact that carers often experienced pressure and isolation while remaining less visible within mainstream services and local provision. The programme helped make support easier to access and carers easier to identify and reach.

Its wider value lay in helping create a more supportive local environment around carers. By improving visibility and strengthening access routes into support, the project contributed to a more caring and responsive local ecosystem.
