About this event

Whether it’s low wages, poor housing, or local safety, the Hounslow voluntary & community sector is uniquely placed to understand your area’s challenges. Community organising provides a method to connect deeply with others and generate concrete, practical solutions that get at the root causes of these challenges.

In this introductory training you will be guided through thinking about the change you want to see and how you might get there, using foundational concepts and useful tools from the community organising method.

The training will be interactive and practical, featuring stories from community organising both in Hounslow and in other areas of our city.You will leave with an understanding of how ordinary people can develop their leadership, build strong communities and win real change.
