New Mental Health Fund

A new Mental Health Fund has been created, in partnership with the West London NHS Trust, and is available for community and voluntary sector organisations to support community-based mental health care for people with moderate to severe mental illness across a range of diagnoses and needs.

There are two strands of funding available:

1. Mental Health Integrated Network Teams (MINT)

This provides funding for community-based mental health services such as ;

• Access to psychological therapies
• Improved physical healthcare
• Personal and trauma-informed care
• Support for self-harm and substance use
• Proactive work to address racial disparities.

There is a specific pot of funding for work with young people aged 16-25 years old.

2. Specialist Community Forensic Teams (SCFT)

Specialist Community Forensic Teams are addressing mental health inequalities through  community-based programmes for people over 18 years old who are leaving secure care to live in the community and/or people who may be at risk of contact with the criminal justice system.

They want to work with VCSE service providers to develop opportunities for service users to reconnect with their culture and identity, their local community and find new ways of socially engaging and building friendships.

• Proposals are accepted for up to £50,000 towards Revenue Projects (some Capital spend can be included to support delivery).
• The deadline for submitting your proposals is 9am on Friday 23 September 2022
