Urban Edible Garden at Northolt Library Gardens

Urban Edible Gardens turns grey spaces green for local communities to promote a greener and cleaner environment. Many of the projects we run come with opportunities for food growing and learning about the environment.
Our latest project is at Northolt Library Gardens we are creating a Sensory and a growing garden  and require volunteers for Gardens jobs and DIY.
We require adults (18+) Â to help with jobs that include painting of fences and sheds, clearance and development of herb and flower beds, general clear up of garden, building of a greenhouse, a sensory wall and the creation of a new reading area.
Volunteers are required  from Monday – Friday over the next 2 weeks, starting on Monday 11th October. Volunteers are welcome to attend a session  between 10am – 4pmÂ…..you can drop in as and when you want and donÂ’t have to do the whole day. The garden is at the rear of Northolt library, Church Road, Northolt, UB5 5AS
– Toilets are available  on site
– All protective wear will be provided.
– Preferable that you wear outdoor clothing, layers with jeans, jumper and  boots. Depending on the weather you may need to wear a waterproof jacket
– Snacks, hot drinks and lunch will be provided.
