Support for BAMER Groups

Oct 28, 2019 | VCS

If you are a BAMER charity or social enterprise (with less than £250,000 annual income), looking to grow and become funding ready, we can help you!
The AVOCADO+ project is a two year collaboration between MONEY4YOUTH, RACE ON THE AGENDA, and BLACK FUNDRAISERS UK. This is an intensive and innovative programme that will improve the Sustainability, Fundraising Capabilities and Leadership of BAMER charities and social enterprises. APPLY NOW
Following the very successful Avocado pilot project (funded by the Tudor Trust) from September 2016 – August 2018, we are pleased to announce the launch of the AVOCADO+ Accelerator programme to support Black, Asian, Multi-Ethnic and Refugee (BAMER) groups to become more financially sustainable. The Avocado pilot project demonstrated that small BAMER groups benefit from intense capacity building support if they are to maximise their potential. Groups require additional training and support in areas such as governance, finance and leadership to maximise their fundraising efforts. This programme will help them move on to the next stage in their development, equipping them with the tools and confidence they need to survive and thrive.
The next academic year will run from November 2019 – September 2020 and applications for BAMER organisations to join the 2019/20 programme is open now and until 30th October 2019.
